If the Iranians don't stop enriching uranium I think by the end of 2007 US or Israel will try to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities.
Before that they'll make some kind of peace with the Palestinians. I'd be happy if they solve this issue peacefully. Peace is always the best choice. Bush approved raids on Iranians in Iraq - Yahoo! News .......... Five Iranians were detained by U.S.-led forces this week after a raid on an Iranian government liaison office in northern Iraq, a move that has frayed even further the relations between the two countries. The United States accuses Iran of helping provide roadside bombs that have killed American troops in Iraq, and a bitter standoff already exists over Tehran's nuclear program. .................... On Friday, U.S. officials said there was no immediate plan to strike targets in Iran, but they also wouldn't rule out military action. Their comments came after Bush vowed in a prime-time address to the nation to go after Iranian terrorist networks feeding the insurgency in Iraq. Bush's remarks Wednesday in a speech announcing his plan to boost U.S. forces in Iraq prompted questions from members of Congress about whether the U.S. is considering attacks on Iranian territory. Administration officials have long refused to rule out any options against Iran but said military action would be a last resort........... |

its very likely that bush will try and ignite WWIII before the end of his presidency. he's following warmonger william kristol's script now. just read their rhetoric carefully, look at hardware thats moving into the region, and those placed in positions of command (why is an navy admiral now in charge of ground forces?), etc, etc. after he invaded iraq, people understand bush and the neocons are capable of doing the unimaginable. bush sees this as a regional war and thats exactly what he's after. and, as most probably don't know, but just for the record, iran does have the right to enrich uranium for nuclear energy. not that facts or accurate information matter to most americans or the mainstream media though. as long as our spineless, worth- nothing congress (democrats included) and our mainstream, corporate owned media continue to lay down and give bush whatever he wants, expect the worst most unimaginable to happen.

why do you people always say this? What proof do you have that Bush will attack Iran? Again, leftist scaremongering. Where is Jimmy "the most useless president beside William Henry Harrison" Carter. Then again, WHH was a War of 1812 war hero. |

No, cynical. This lefty anyway. Americans are naive in general. Not cynical enough. Just a little cynicism on the part of Americans would have maybe made the war in Iraq not happen, but instead every American just took the gov't at it's word.
When 9/11 happened, I guessed correctly that Bush would use it to bomb Iraq and he did. Pessimistic? No. Realistic? Yes. Bush is predictable. I don't think they want to bomb Iran unless they really have to, but if they do, they'll make an overstated case beforehand having to do with Iran's support for the insurgency in Iraq as part of the problem. Meanwhile, in North Korea, they're getting ready to test another nuke. Is it pessimistic and negative of me to think so little of the Bush administration that they're not doing anything about that? No. Just realistic. Bush was already incompetent, but now he's just a national embarassment. |
