Default Jack Layton, head of the NDP Party of Canada, dies at 61 of cancer
SPECIAL REPORT: The death and legacy of Jack Layton - Canada - CBC News

Jack Layton will be missed as a leader who was able to bring people together at finding solutions not just finding faults. We could use more leaders like him even in the states.

Yeah I saw that earlier on the wires. It's a shame...he was a dedicated Canadian politician who at least got to see his party do very well in the last Canadian elections in May, making the NDP the Official Opposition in Parliament for the first time ever, but now he won't be around to see how well it does with its opportunity. Age 61 is a short ticket on life by today's standards in Canada so he got cheated. RIP Jack.

Layton was certainly a man of vision and dreams and I believe he was a dedicated public servant.
