Most boring scandal ever...
I wouldn't care if he takes pictures of having anal sex with a college student... Two adults having fun is not a crime and nobodies buisness. But this? This is nothing, not even if it's 100% true which it doesn't look like. Everybody who is outraged about it should reflect on their motivations... there is much worse stuff happening every day nobody gives a shit about. His name is totally unfortunate though Isaac Clements Weiner would be even cool. |

As Democrat scandals go this is pretty tame.
He didn't drunk drive, ditch the car in the water, swim away and leave someone to drown. He didn't have a companion that ran a prostitution ring from his Washington residence. He didn't double team a waitress in a restaurant. He didn't stagger down the beach under the influence with his pants off. He didn't attempt to make private diplomatic deals with a hostile communist government. He didn't rent a whore house to entertain a variety of unusual political guests. All he may have done is send a picture of his crotch to another adult, icky indeed but not much of a crime (if one at all). Blaming it on a mysterious hacker who only wanted to joke spam one person- a little curious and amusing. The act itself is politically survivable, his response and media feeding frenzy may damage him far more. |

He might survive this, but his trajectory has been deflected. Even if the story is true (which given Breitbart's history, I suspect not), it's no concern of hours. |

Most boring scandal ever... Weiner will be fine. I'm sure he'll stand himself up, dust himself off, and come out of this all polished off. ^^^There's a pun in there somewhere^^^ |

I find the fact that a sitting Congressman isn't availing himself of every possible avenue to find out exactly what happened.
I also find the fact that, originally, he said he couldn't be certain it was his dick to be laughable. He didn't notify the FBI for a reason. By hiring a private security firm, the findings are only made available to him. If the FBI did the investigation, the findings can be made available to everyone. He's full of shit. Anyone who's unable to grasp that is fucking stupid... |

You know what I hate? This fucking tabloid culture we find ourselves in. I could care less what Weiner did, as long as he did not send it to me.
I am NEVER surpised when a new sex related scandal makes it to the press, involving politicians. The lust for power goes hand in hand with the lust for sex. These fuckers are just immoral people, and we probably don't have many in D.C. that are not affected with this sort of deal. Hell, the veiwers that "get off" on this type of deal are as bad as the guy doing it, IMO. If we raised hell over all past politicians and even high ranking military men, who indulged in this sort of thing, we would have lost WW2. Sometimes shit like this is better left in the trash can, as it detracts attention away from REAL problems that have to be solved. |

WHY would anyone in the public eye (including the President) have a Twitter account?
In fact, why would ANYONE have a Twitter account? Or even Facebook for that matter? "Say, here's an idea for an Internet service. We'll take all your most private, intimate info and spread it over the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD, and we'll put it IN WRITING or even on photos. Further, we'll make it PERMANENT so it can come back on you years later Security....naaah..., we'll let anybody put anything on it and say it's you" Somehow, I don't think I'll ever be an Internet Billlionaire, that idea just doesn't strike me as the kind of thing that would catch on really. Now, it's not that I don't use both services. In fact, it's amazing how many old buddies and pals have gotten back in touch with me on them, especially when you consider that not one of the several identities I use has ever existed. |
