Default Former Texas Governor Bill Clements dies at 94
Former Texas governor Bill Clements has passed away at the age of 94. He had been ill for a few months and died at a hospital surrounded by family.

Clements was an extremely controversial governor. He was marred by several incidents but most notably was the infamous scandal he was involved in where SMU football players were paid money to play for the school. Eventually SMU's football program was given the first and only "death penalty" in NCAA history.

RIP.

94 is a long life. I hope the last of his years were of decent quality.

And football drama? It's just a kids game that grownups sometimes play. No biggie.

RIP, Bill.
