Well shoot, with Beck gone, where will we go to find our true facts? In a news release, the Los Angeles-based group Live Action claimed that “opponents of defunding Planned Parenthood have argued in Congress and elsewhere that the organization provides many vital health care services other than abortion, such as mammograms. Most prominently, Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards recently appeared on The Joy Behar Show to oppose the Pence Amendment to end Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer subsidies, claiming, ‘If this bill ever becomes law, millions of women in this country are gonna lose their healthcare access — not to abortion services — to basic family planning, you know, mammograms.’” The group said it secretly recorded telephone conversations between a Live Action actor posing as a woman seeking mammograms and Planned Parenthood employees at 30 clinics in 27 states in which the supposed patient was told the breast exams were not available. “Every Planned Parenthood, without exception, tells her she will have to go elsewhere for a mammogram, and many clinics admit that no Planned Parenthood clinics provide this breast cancer screening procedure,” according to the group’s news release. “ ‘We don’t provide those services whatsoever,’ admits a staffer at Planned Parenthood of Arizona. Planned Parenthood’s Comprehensive Health Center clinic in Overland Park, KS explains to the caller, ‘We actually don’t have a, um, mammogram machine, at our clinics,’ ” the news release said. Edit: Bearman, why are you talking as if the fact that Democrats were the conservatives of the 19th century is a shocker? Of course they wouldn't sign unless blacks and women weren't allowed to vote. Back then Democrats were CONSERVATIVE. Historian Gregory Schneider identifies several constants in American conservatism: respect for tradition, support of republicanism, preservation of "the rule of law and the Christian religion", and a defense of "Western civilization from the challenges of modernist culture and totalitarian governments."[5] From the late 19th century onward, conservatives have been dedicated to preventing the rise and spread of socialism and communism[6][7] Hmmm. Doesn't sound like any Democrat at any point in their history. And DEFINITELY not a secular/progressive/liberal. They have always been statists. |

From the Wikipedia link you provided There is nothing progressive about supporting segregation. It was a holdover from slavery. |

The pendulum will always swing back and forth. FOX certainly isn't going anywhere...it makes loads of money. His removal was expected by predictions for a different reason....he was losing ratings but most importantly commercial sponsors who refused to run further ads in his show segment. It was a combination of moderate or liberal owners and/or employees who didn't want to support him with their money and/or they didn't like customer complaints and backlash for being seen supporting him. Funny, it remind me of this radio show segment of his: "Bullcrap capitalism doesn’t work" |

Really think he's not going to be on FOX doing something else? This is exactly almost to the word what their networks said about Dan Rather and even Walter Cronkite...it's sorta code for we'll not see much of them, if at all, in the near future. I have gone on record as saying this. Obama was attacked en masse for not turning around the economy from as little as a MONTH after he was elected. Well, the cons have had nearly half a year....where's all THEIR hope and change?? |

Glenn Beck is simply nuts and all this apologetic baloney doesn't change that. His conspiratorial paranoid interpretation of life in America is so bizarre even my wife, a non-political person can't stand his dramatic acting over idiocy. But of course comedians will miss him and chalkboard prices will go down.

It's a strange turnaround for me. I liked him on CNN for quite awhile, and then I found he started getting a little more extreme. But then later at FOX it's like he got all televangelical about himself. He was a caricature of Harry Beale, the character from that movie Network.
I hope he chills out and collects himself and comes back to the middle again. Hopefully he was just playing a character and it was just a phase or something. |

You can only cover the same material in the same format over and over so many times. He's been trying to shift to documentaries. I firmly believe that the Left is on a downhill course, with unwillingness to adequately deal with huge deficit proplems, and a "leader",Obama, with no leadership abilities as evidenced by his budget proposals and lack thereof. And Obama has just declared his 2012 campaign ambition to garner one billion dollars and opting out of public campaign financing. What timing? In my mind, EVERYTHING he does is wrong. |
