This man is a clown. All he has done since being appointed is talk smack. He's going to reinstate the assault weapons ban, he's gonna drop the hammer on the CA marijuana industry, he's gonna try terrorists in NYC.........now he lambastes congress for crushing his unpopular, outrageously expensive plan to carry out a social experiment in justice:
In stark language, Holder lambasted Congress for imposing restrictions blocking any detainees from being tried in the U.S., saying that the "unwise and unwarranted restrictions" undermine the U.S. in counter-intelligence and counter-terror efforts. Looks like he took arraogance 101 from his boss: "Do I know better than them? Yes. I respect their ability to disagree but they should respect that this is an executive branch function, a unique executive branch function," Holder said in a press conference. Make sure you hold your chin up real high like the boss does, Eric.... Maybe holder should respect the citizens of NYC and realize that they "know what's best" for a city that has experienced terror like no other. What the fk is up with this dickwad? His end game doesn't even make sense. source of quotes: Holder Blames Congress for Forcing Hand on Military Commissions for 9/11 Detainees - FoxNews.com |

How can he alone reinstate the ban on fake assault weapons? I thought Congress made laws. I understand the pot biz deal as it is against Fed law. Now, as far as the actual topic, anything to say about Holder knows best? |

How Holder's going to do any of this with a DOJ hiring freeze in place is beyond me. My guess is that his endgame is to talk big now - and then he and his boss cry poverty in 2012 and how they couldn't do any of the stuff they were going to do to protect the country because those big bad GOP meanies in the House wouldn't give them any money... Holder and Obama are holding national security hostage to the budget crisis.
But I think I'm slightly OT. What exactly do you mean about the social experiment? ...now he lambastes congress for crushing his unpopular, outrageously expensive plan to carry out a social experiment in justice |

LOL
This is actually getting funny. End the war! No, keep the war! Drawdown! No, surge! Close GITMO! No, keep GITMO! End military tribunals!!! No, let's go back to military tribunals!!! Has President Obama actually kept one single GWOT-related campaign promise? I didn't think it was possible but America has actually become more aggressive, and more expansive of military footprint, under President Obama. I can pretty much guarantee at this point that within the next 12 calendar months waterboarding and secret rendition will both be back on the table - if they're actually really off the table right now (which I think is exceptionally unlikely given the Obama administration's warmongering). |

He said that back when the dems could just ram thru anything they wanted.(you remember those glory days, right?) Why they didn't reinstate the ban or otherwise fuck wirth gun lawsis a no brainer, it would have been political suicide for Obama. So how again can the AG, implement the ban on fake assault weapons? Thought that had to originate in Congress. |

I plead stupidity on Holder, as I have not kept up with his antics. But, I recall the Black Panther deal, and did not agree that the case should be dropped. He has also sabre rattled his ass off on having the feds go after CA's pot industry, which we have yet to see materialize. Now he basically sez Congress is not as smart/qualified as he is in dealing with Gitmo terror suspects and their trials. Holder is sure a NYC trial in public court is the way to go, so tell me, Eric or Congress or the people of NYC, who's the dumbass of that trio? |

EH quote;
"Do I know better than them? Yes. I respect their ability to disagree but they should respect that this is an executive branch function, a unique executive branch function," Holder said in a press conference. This guy is so out of touch he's an embarrassment to this country. First he is the most arrogant person there is, just under Obama. What he does not know and refuses to acknowledge or understand is, the people DO NOT want KSM and his buddies in this country. Period. We do not want them spewing their BS in our courts on our soil. EH, how hard is that to understand. You need to be fired because you really don't know anything. One more thing, this is another Obama broken promise. I guess when your running for office tell them what they want to hear, no matter if you can actually do what you promise. |

EH quote; I am more concerned about Holder going after the pot myself. If you are gonna avoid the trial on US soil, just because you fear the terrorists, it shows a yellow streak, and radical Islam would see it as weakness. |

I don't know why some bring up broken promises. WHO has not done so? It used to be a joke, but if the politician involved is one you hate, it's like this is unusual again. It isn't. If their lips are moving during the campaign, they tell some what they want to hear. And that is politics. |

This is nothing new. Bush 43 did it, Clinton did it, Bush 41 did it, Reagan did it. If anything Obama is your typical, run-of-the-mill President, no more or less honest than any of his predecessors. |
