Yes, I saw it on Alternet, and yes they are left wing. So what? That makes one on the left and one on the right that have reported it.

Are you trying to make some big deal of this? Are you baiting me, in hopes that I will respond in anger? Apparently so, as you have no problems with people that make comments before finding out the whole story.

You are dismissed, go play with yourself.
Sooo.....instead of taking a stance that the actions taken against McGovern were, as a bare minimum, unwarranted you're going to instead give me a ration of shit. Swell.

Kind of ironic to see this happening in the US from a peaceful protester. Ray McGovern is arrested for his silent protest of Hillary Clinton.

OpEdNews - Article: Former CIA Veteran Ray McGovern Discusses Brutal Arrest at Secretary Clinton's Internet Freedom Speech

Apparently an old man standing silently with his back turned in the presence of a government figure is now considered disorderly conduct, warranting jail time.
I actually first read it on a reliable blogger site, but googled Ray McGovern Arrest to find the article I linked.

Does it really surprise you that western MSM wouldn't cover it?

Ray McGovern has some minor notoriety because he was a 27-year CIA analyst who scoffed at Colin Powell's presentation to the UN about WMDs, and he has been outspoken against both the Bush admin and the Obama admin - the article correctly references his run-in with Rumsfeld which I have seen on youtube. Rumsfeld > Hillary it seems.
Hey! Your guy's in charge!

? I didn't vote for Obama.

I voted for Ron Paul who certainly wouldn't have stood by while Ray McGovern was being manhandled for daring to stand silently.

Who cares?

Security and police people don't all of a sudden just change political allegiances depending on who is speaking at an event in order to react before they actually think about what they're doing.

Republican or Democrat in charge, these incidents always pop up, and it's because law enforcement people in America are charged with keeping these things safe and if anyone important is speaking, you can be sure they're all tripped up about in terms of the seriousness they have for looking over a space just looking for trouble, anticipating the worst.

It causes them to end up snapping on people like a retired CIA veteran whose what, 71?

And maybe he was only shouting or interrupting, something really light like that, but for security people it triggers their immediate internal alarm that something isn't right, take care of it before it escalates, but in doing that they're the ones actually escalating the proceedings.

We need to learn more about it, it's too headliney and general at this point.

He wasn't saying anything. He was silent, standing, with his back turned, that's his form of protesting. It is unreasonable to count that as "disorderly conduct" to haul him away directly like that.

Are people really dopey enough to believe only one side gets angry? Or has bad people?

Seriously, is that the limit of your intellect?

One of the best tricks the government has ever played on the American people is making us think we live in a free country.

Not necessarily that they don't believe it, just that they are too uber-partisan to admit it.

You would get along well with Alma.

That being said, the authorities certainly overreacted, and hopefully, the courts will settle this in a fair and reasonable manner.

Yeah, like all those Wisconsin protesters.
What's that got to do with anything?

Did I say that people on the left are incapable of looking angry? Or that people who aren't conservative can't look angry?

No?

hmm.

How about anyone who cares about liberty? Yeah, I know, you don't really fall into that category.

Actually, it was a silent protest and the video suggests this, too. I only heard the guy say something after he was grabbed.

Your sniveling is disgusting. He was protesting silently.
We need to learn more about it, it's too headliney and general at this point. Like what? Were his anti-Hillary thoughts going to cause a massacre if security didn't brutalize him?
