This isn't as much fun as I thought it would be. I mean, I knew this list was crap when I first saw it, so why did I take the bait? Why did I think that fighting myth with fact would make a difference? If someone is simple minded enough, or wrapped so tight in their ideology, that they believe anything on this BS list, then is it even possible to crack open their skulls enough to sway them by truth? Probably not, because they don't want truth. Nobody does these days. We just want to be the one who shouts the loudest, regardless of whether what we say has any basis in reality. It makes me want to puke.
I guess I'll go forward anyway. It won't make a difference to any of you but it might help me get this bad taste out of my mouth. "Obama’s Justice Department is there for Obama and team and not for true American Justice" The mission statement for the DOJ is: To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans. There are 58 agencies that fall under the umbrella of the DOJ, they include biggies like the ATF, DEA, FBI but they are also charged with guaranteeing fair credit, protecting the right to vote, litigating on behalf of the environment, running our prison system, defending civil rights ... the list goes on and on and, of course, each agency has its own baby agency-ettes underneath them. At first glance it seems silly to suggest that ALL of these thousands of bureaucrats serve only to support the Obama administration's whims but, really, in a way, they do. Because the DOJ has its fingers in almost everything, they have the opportunity to shape the ways our law is interpreted across broad sweeps of policy. That's true for the Obama administration but it was true for previous administrations too. It's one of the big reasons why the office of President is so important and why each of us should be careful in deciding how to spend our vote this fall. |

Electric cars will become useless and outlawed for most •Gas will be well above $5 a gallon and you will also be taxed on how much you drive •Free speech will only exist for the politically correct leftists. Views of conservatives and religious people will be called hate speech •Free speech on the media and the Internet will cease •They will make it too expensive and too restrictive to have guns or ammo •Obama’s foreign policies will just lead to more wars" I don't care who called who what, you CANNOT post a shining piece of poo-fruit like this and then close the thread for comment. Not unless you want my head to explode. I intend to take each one of these on and when I am finished I believe we will know who the liars and idiots are without having to point out the obvious. Some of you might want to get your whiny pants ready. |

"Obama has shunned our best allies"
Homey asked if I planned to use opinions. Generally, no. In this case? Maybe. It is my opinion that the UK, Canada, Mexico, Australia, Japan and possibly Germany are our most consistent allies. So ... Did Obama snub the UK? This guy doesn't seem to think so. Did Obama snub Canada? Australia? Eh, is it snubbing to invite their PMs to an exclusive luau in Hawaii? What about Mexico? Don't think so. He threw a state dinner for their president. Boehner, on the other hand ... "The snub marks the third consecutive Obama-thrown State Dinner that Boehner will skip, including receptions for Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Mexican President Felipe Calderon." Japan? Ahhh, maybe. And we gave Angela Merkel, Germany's PM the Medal of Freedom at her own state dinner. Obama seems to pretty much suck at ally snub-making. |

"Obama has shunned our best allies" I'm old school and I consider being called honey a term of endearment, at least it was that way with my many vacations in the south. Also, I have a hunch the ally they were talking about is Israel. UK also felt snubbed when Obama returned the bust of Churchill. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/0..._n_168919.html |

"Obama has submitted to our enemies"
I have a big dog. She's getting older now but when she was in her prime a lot of the neighborhood dogs would "submit" to her if we met them on our walks. She would bark and the other dogs would whimper then roll onto their backs and show her their bellies. Despite my best efforts -- and believe me, I TRIED -- I could only find one instance of Obama showing his belly to anyone besides Michelle. He was on a beach, in Hawaii, on vaycay and, while I feel a little weird saying this, the POTUS was looking might fine. My. Tee. Fine. And not submissive at all. But maybe whoever the Tater tot copied his list from was talking about the "apology tour"? In that case, Liar, Liar, Pants on Fire. |

"Obama’s environmental policy is anti-jobs during a time of very high unemployment"
Okay, you might have me on this. Obama's environmental policy is clearly anti-future gulf oil spill mop up jobs. As well as anti-how many people would we have to employ to figure out how to restore the safety of our water table after frakking or pipelining over aquifers-jobs, or new healthcare workers for all the folks with pulmonary diseases due to air pollutants - jobs. He's also apparently anti - arsenic, beryllium, chromium, lead, and mercury clean up after coal ash slurry breach -jobs. So what if we destroy the planet - a job's a job! |

Edeevee, Churchill bust= we discussed this many moons ago and most of us decided this was BS. The bust was on loan to a previous admin. Obama returned it. Nuff said. Israel= Here's where opinion really comes into play. I do not consider Israel one of our best allies. To me, they are more like the snot nosed little brother who constantly ticks off everyone in the neighborhood then runs home to hide behind you. Ssly, what has Israel done for us lately? |

"Obama’s energy policies are doubling the price of energy and destroying jobs and the middle-class"
Are you middle class? Have your energy costs doubles since Obama took over? I am middle class. My bills have not doubled. I lack the energy right now to dig out bills from four years ago but, I swear to you, cross my heart, I think they have actually (gasp!) gone down!* Maybe it's because I took advantage of those sweet Obama tax break policies. I added insulation and replaced a drafty old window and door. Recently I took some of the money I'd saved and bought new energy efficient appliances too. Let the dollars roll in! And hey, now that I think about it, somebody manufactured that insulation, that door, that window, somebody sold it to me, delivered it to me, and a few somebodies installed them. Same with the new kitchen appliances and dryer. Could that be? Why, yes, I believe it is. JOBS!!!!!!! *Since we don't want to depend on my raggedy memory, I figured I'd better find a source. That turned out to be almost as difficult as digging around in the garage for receipts but I did find this table: Retail Revenue (Million Dollars) 2008 2009 2010 Residential 156,633 155,433 -0.8 157,351 157,008 -0.2 167,957 166,778 -0.7 Average Retail Price (Cents/kWh) Residential 11.36 11.26 -0.9 11.55 11.51 -0.4 11.58 11.54 -0.4 |

"Obama’s health care plan is intrusive, expensive and unconstitutional and the extra bureaucracy will result in higher costs and health rationing choices made by medically uneducated idiots"
Any national health plan is, by definition, intrusive as it requires participation (in one form or another) from all of us. So yeah, Obama's plan is intrusive. So was Mitt's. So was Newt's. So was Clinton's. So was Bob Dole's. When you think about it, so was Nixon's, since his collusion with the health care and insurance heavy hitters ultimately intruded into my household budget to the tune of hundreds of thousands of dollars over my adult life time. Because Obama's plan is intrusive but it is not exclusively intrusive, this point is moot. It's expensive. Yup. So is health care without a national plan. The whole idea behind creating a plan is to bring prices down. Dur. Extra bureaucracy? I don't buy that. Not yet anyway. Private health insurance has plenty of bureaucracy on its own. And the kicker is, all those layers of "managed" care were intentionally created to give yiou a product that adds less value to the consumer while lining the pockets of the high muckety mucks. ... health rationing choices made by medically uneducated idiots? What? The Obama administration is recruiting Fence Post members? BONUS! JOBS! |

"Obama’s immigration policy weakens America"
I almost chose to skip this because it is ridiculous in its lack of definition. The idiot (yeah, I said idiot) who wrote this seems to have randomly drawn an inflammatory noun out of one hat and a negative verb out of another. It's MadLibs -- the home politics edition! Obama's immigration policy weakens America by ...? How? I don't know much about the administration's immigration policy. I do know that Obama has tried to prioritize. He's chosen Job#1 as securing our border and it seems to be working. And with the resources he has left he is targeting illegal aliens who have committed crimes. You'd think those in the Tea Party mindset of 'don't spend what you don't have' would applaud this increase in efficiency. After all, this tactic has his administration "on pace to prosecute more illegal immigrants in three years for illegal entry or illegal reentry than President George W. Bush did in his eight-year term". The other thing I know about his policy is that it is horking off people on both the extreme right and the extreme left. He's gotta be doing something right. |
