Virginia has a strange way of deciding what is appropriate it seems. No, I would not consider signing that oath before voting in their primary. Who know who may end up being the Republican candidate if the one you vote for does not win?

Virginia is also considering withdrawing the requirement for a background check before allowing their citizens to purchase guns. They also are purposing removing the restriction of not purchasing more than one gun per month? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/0...n_1180048.html

The republican party is simply in free fall, and out of control. I t makes me fell good that I jumped ship rather than have to put up with crap like that. Aren't these the silly son's of guns that want to squash this in unions?

I would probably have to say no. I have not researched the bill in its entirety except for the portion allowing the government to detain alleged terrorists indefinitely. I had mixed emotions when the Patriot Act allowed the government to spy on U.S. citizens but the NDAA far exceeds the Patriot Act by allowing the government to indefinitely detain any alleged terrorist even if they are U.S. citizens arrested on U.S. soil.

The first step to becoming a dictatorship is to remove the freedom and right to vote the way you want. Say what you will, these so-called republicans, are becoming exactly what they fear.

To Homey & Blue, I'll point out that both Republicans and Democrats voted for this. Also the President that signed it into law is a Democrat. I don't think we can blame one party over the other.

Don't believe I indicated that I was blaming one party over another and if I did it was not my intent. However, I was wondering why the Patriot Act detractors are surprisingly quiet.
