MULTAN: Two persons were killed in a blast that occurred in densely populated area of Hussain Agahi Chowk Bazaar in Multan Saturday morning, Geo News reported.

According to rescue sources, an explosion occurred due to the fireworks material present in a house near a school at Hussain Agahi Chowk Bazaar that killed two men and hurt several others.

Due to the blast, a building collapsed while several near-by buildings were also damaged.

Rescue sources pulled out one body from the rubble while efforts are underway to shift the injured to the hospital.
