ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has written a letter to Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh expressing his joy over the resumption of cricket ties between the South Asian neighbours.

The letter which was delivered to Singh via the Pakistani High Commission stated that the resumption of cricket ties will create good will between both Indian and Pakistan.

The President further wrote the cricket series would increase confidence building and people to people contact between both countries.

The BCCI has invited Pakistan to tour India in December this year for three ODIs and two T20s. The announcement has been welcomed by fans and cricketers from both sides of the border.
