Default Punjab being punished for electing PML-N: Shahbaz
Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that the rulers in the Centre have crippled the life in Punjab by resorting to unjust loadshedding in the province. Talking to media persons at the Punjab government’s camp office here at Sargodha Stadium, Shahbaz said the thieves and the watchmen have joined their hands to loot the country, while the people of Punjab have been victimised. He said the provinces have to pay over Rs100 billion to Centre in the head of electricity dues in which Punjab had to pay only Rs4 billion, but the province has been hit worst as far as loadshedding is concerned. The chief minister said that “Ali Baba and Forty Thieves” are bent upon destroying Punjab because the people of the province have elected the PML-N. He said all the claims made during the Energy Conference turned out to be false, while corruption of Rs13 billion was made in the name of rental power plants. To a question, Shahbaz said the contempt of court bill was aimed at sabotaging the rule of law in the country. Meanwhile, talking to media persons on the occasion of funerals of Subedar Majid, martyred in terror attack on Army camp in Gujrat, the chief minister said that Pakistan Army soldiers have always sacrificed lives for protecting the national frontiers and the federal government by announcing compensation could not reward their services for the country. Shahbaz said that the entire nation is proud of armed forces which also always stood fast against internal turmoil and in natural calamities. Later, the chief minister visited different areas of Sargodha city. He also inaugurated the Trauma Center, sports stadium, special education centre and other development projects in the city. Shahbaz Sharif also monitored the development work of under construction building of District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) Sargodha and directed the authorities for timely completion of projects with assurance of quality and standard.
