Default Parliament made constitution: Gilani
LAHORE: Former prime minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani Sunday said that the constitution was supreme, but it was parliament that made it, Geo News reported.

Talking to media at the Lahore Railway station here, Yusuf Raza Gilani said that we ensured the stability of the parliament. Pakistan was not a failed state, one prime minister went out, another came in.

The former prime minister said that Pakistan People’s Party was the only federal party of the country.

Gilani added that the outcome in the next elections would not be that diffrent as the PPP had the majority in the Senate and would continue to play an important role.

Regarding the Defence Pakistan Council (DPC) long march on the Nato supply issue, he said that most of them were chronic ‘jihadis’. He said that weather was pleasant today; DPC would be provided water and other facilities.

When asked about the dual nationality issue, Gilani replied that consultations would also be held on this issue.
