Default Larger bench hears memo case
ISLAMABAD: A nine-member larger bench constituted by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is hearing the identical petitions on the memo case Tuesday, Geo News reported.The bench, headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, was constituted on Monday after the commission on the memogate scandal, constituted by the apex court on December 30, 2011, submitted its report on June 11, 2012, in a sealed envelope. The matter is now fixed in court; the bench has opened the report and will now pass appropriate orders.In this connection, notices to petitioners, through their counsel, and the learned attorney general were also issued for today. Other members of the larger bench include Justice Mian Shakirullah Jan, Justice Jawad S Khawaja, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Tariq Parvez, Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry and Justice Sh Azmat Saeed.
