QUETTA: Unidentified gunmen killed SP Crime Investigation Department (CID) Shahnawaz Khan near his residence in Satellite Town, Quetta on Tuesday, Geo News reported.

According to SP Sariab Farid Warraich, SP CID Shahnawaz had gone for a walk near his residence in Satellite Town when unknown gunmen riding on a motorcycle opened fire on him.

As a result of attack, he received serious bullet wounds and was being shifted to Civil Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on his way.

SP Shahnawaz's funeral will take place today at Police Lines.
