Default SC takes up PM’s contempt case today
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court will resume today (Thursday) the hearing of the contempt of court case against Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for not implementing its order on the controversial National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

The seven-member special bench, headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk had adjourned the hearing after the PM's counsel Barrister Aitizaz Ahsen told the court that due to illness he would not be able to argue before the apex court, thus seeking adjournment.

The counsel in response to the court's query submitted that he had not yet argued extensively on Article 10-A of the Constitution incorporated under the 18th Constitutional Amendment; hence, he still needed time to complete his arguments before the court.
