Default Ties with SK to improve after tour: PM
The Prime Minister was talking to Ambassador of South Korea to Pakistan Choong Joo Choi who called on him Saturday morning at
Prime Minister House.

The Prime Minister said South Korean companies have a robust investment in Pakistan across a whole spectrum of economic activity.

The Prime Minister is visiting Republic of Korea to participate in the Seoul Nuclear Security Summit from March 25-28, 2012 where Heads of States and Governments from major countries are participating.

The Prime Minister is likely to meet a number of world leaders and CEOs of major Korean companies.

The Prime Minister said he was inspired by South Korea's unique experience of great economic progress and Pakistan wished to benefit from its best practices in order to be able to achieve similar development trajectory.

The Prime Minister stated that the interaction with South Korean companies would encourage them to enhance their engagement
and investment particularly in infrastructure and energy sectors.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan desires to further strengthen and expand relations in political, economic, trade and defence fields.

There is immense potential to forge bilateral cooperation in these fields, he added.

The Korean Ambassador reiterated that his country also looked forward to the coming visit of the Prime Minister in connection with
Nuclear Security Summit in Seoul.

He said Korean companies are interested in investing in different sectors in Pakistan.

He said exchange of delegations at various levels would further cement the existing ties between the two countries.
Pakistan and South Korea would commemorate the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic relations next year in 2013.

The two countries plan a number of high profile activities including exchange of visits to mark the occasion.
