PESHAWAR: Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association, Ghayas Paracha Tuesday said CNG stations operating in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would not close down their business, Geo News reported.
Talking to Geo News, Ghayas Paracha argued that government would only close down those CNG pumps which initiated business after 2008. "Under the agreement, these CNG stations were supposed get gas supply for 9 months a year but practically the supply continued for 12 months and it is in this context that these pumps have been ordered to shut down," he maintained. Paracha said the government's decision would not have any impact in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as the province was self-sufficient in gas production. Meanwhile, Chairman All Pakistan CNG Association, Khyber Pakhtunwa, Pervez Khattak warned to go to High Court if the government went ahead and closed down CNG pumps in the province. |
