ISLAMABAD - President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani held a one-to-one meeting here to deliberate on host of national issues.
Sources informed that more than one hour of meeting deliberated on such important issues like, overall socio-political scenario of the country, recent by-elections of national and provincial assembles, forthcoming general elections and appointment of chiefs of Armed forces and ISI.
The one-to-one meeting also discussed the recent meeting between COAS General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani and Yousaf Raza Gilani and all the decisions taken regarding sovereignty and integrity of country, besides the Balochistan crisis.
Sources informed Online that recommendations regarding Senate and forthcoming general elections were also mulled over, while it was also agreed to carry the process of reconciliation forward and all parties would be taken onboard.
President Asif Ali Zardari termed transparency in recently held by-elections as a major victory of democratic norms in country, strengthening the institutions as the democratically elected government aspired.
