Default Government not interested in running Railways: Bilour
PESHAWAR: Federal Minister for Railways, Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, Saturday said that Center was not interested in putting its shoulder to the ‘railways’ wheel, Geo News reported.

Mocking at the Center, he said the government had gone poor, that’s why it was not releasing allocated funds in this regard.

Talking to media at a ceremony held in connection with the campaign for enrolling new ANP members, he said that India had thousands of locomotives, whereas to lug Pakistani trains there were only 147.

He said with the reintroduction of just twenty cargo trains would pull the Railways out of red zone.

He said Rs11 billion approved by the Cabinet for the national railways was yet unreleased.

Moreover, out of frustration, he attributed railways' failure to Motorways across Pakistan.
