The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has advised the government to increase the prices of petroleum products in light of the increase in prices in the international market, DawnNews reported. A summary in this regard has reportedly been forwarded to the ministry of finance and is awaiting approval by Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. Prime Minister Gilani will decide on the subject after consulting with the finance minister. The summary proposes that the price of petrol be increased by Rs 4.85 per litre, diesel by Rs 4.42 per litre, light diesel by Rs 9.32 per litre, high-octane by Rs 1.80 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs 5.60 per litre.
