Looks like RINO Huntsman's campaign is running on fumes...
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0911/62498.html Top Huntsman aide departs By KENDRA MARR | 9/1/11 2:45 PM EDT Updated: 9/1/11 8:13 PM EDT As Jon Huntsman prepared to wrap up his latest campaign event in New Hampshire, he struck a confident note, despite his struggle to gain traction so far. “We are going to win in New Hampshire,” he told a packed house at a must-do “Politics and Eggs” breakfast on Thursday. Huntsman has staked his campaign on success in the first primary state, and he’s been pressing the message of being a late bloomer in the Republican field, starting with what his campaign says is a new, more aggressive phase kicked off with the New Hampshire trip this week built around the unveiling of his job-building and tax-overhaul proposals on Wednesday. But Huntsman’s upbeat Thursday soon collided with the latest chapter of Huntsman campaign turmoil: In the middle of the candidate’s roundtable with the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce, The Union Leader broke the news that he’d dismissed his local campaign manager, Ethan Eilon. This isn’t first exit from the Huntsman campaign. In July, campaign manager Susie Wiles stepped down from the top post. Her husband Lanny Wiles followed, after criticism for a string of logistical errors at Huntsman’s campaign kickoff event. Longtime family friend David Fischer also left the campaign and publicly detailed the behind-the-scenes drama. Eilon, who previously worked on Ken Buck’s Senate bid in Colorado, joined the campaign this summer. Sarah Crawford Stewart “will be taking over many of the day-to-day responsibilities in her role as New Hampshire senior adviser,” said Huntsman spokesman Tim Miller. “The campaign is very pleased with the leadership team we have in place in New Hampshire,” he said. |
