And then raise the taxes those poor folks so they can pay their fair share, right?
Think Progress: http://thinkprogress.org/politics/20...verseas-labor/ During a campaign stop in Florida, the Associated Press reports that Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) said she would consider lowering the minimum wage. Her comments came in response to a question from a journalist regarding whether changes to the minimum wage should be considered to balance the cost of labor here and overseas. “I’m not married to anything. I’m not saying that’s where I’m going to go,” she replied. Although Bachmann’s comments were reportedly given in the context of creating jobs, a post by the Economy Policy Institute explains why such a policy would mostly just stimulate poverty. |

Right. And let's just keep increasing that income inequality in America. We're worse than Thailand, Russia, the Phillipines and India, but we still look good to Mexico and pretty much all the Hispanic countries to our south.

Wasn't it Perry that was quoted this week as wanting to get rid of child labor laws?
Maybe he and Bachmann can work together to bring back labor camps. They can build on Arizona's SB 1070 and round up anyone without the right papers. Why pay full salary on instrastructure projects when you can jail a few million people and force them to do the work for free? |
