Default Tea Party Targets Boehner
Or as I almost titled the thread, Flea Baggers target Boner.

Push is coming to shove: We now get to find out how much party the Tea Party has and how much backbone the GOP has...

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB1000...googlenews_wsj

Home-state tea-party activists have access to House Speaker John Boehner that any lobbyist would envy. They meet twice a month with a top aide to the Ohio Republican, and their emails are answered quickly.

But that doesn't seem to be enough to turn them into loyalists.

Ohio conservatives say they are preparing to call 1,000 of Mr. Boehner's donors to complain that he isn't doing enough to block a debt-limit increase. On a new Facebook page, "Tea Partiers Against Boehner,'' they air complaints. The national group Tea Party Patriots, saying that Republicans are "timidly passing mediocre spending reforms,'' has called for a rally at the Capitol.

The calls to make big spending cuts come as Mr. Boehner works under deadline pressure with Democratic lawmakers and the White House on a plan to fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year to avoid a potential government shutdown after April 8.

Such negotiations tend to push lawmakers toward compromise. The tea-party activists want Mr. Boehner to stick to his guns on $61 billion in budget cuts that the House approved earlier this year. "You said you were going to cut X amount, and that's what we want to see happen,'' said Chris Littleton, co-founder of the Ohio Liberty Council, a coalition of tea-party groups. "Just take a stand. That's pretty cut and dried.''

I almost feel sorry for Boehner. His entire adult life, he has coveted the job he now has. I guess there is much truth in the saying, "Be careful what you wish for."

Only if there's a camera crew nearby.

How about Obama, he comes from out of nowhere basically wins the Dem nomination and White House, and what is his reward, Economic meltdown, Wall Street bail out started by Bush, congressional Republicans , Middle East rebellions, Tea party uprising in 02, who in there right mind would want to be President?

As for Bohn head, I have no sympathy for a man when told his policies will cost American Jobs replies, " So be it" Let him go sweep his daddies floor again and cry in the corner.

Hey, I said "almost." He's getting exactly what he deserves. It's just sad to watch anyone's dream come true, only to find that it's actually a nightmare.

And, to be honest, I don't think Obama is unhappy about the Tea Party at all. They're going to help him win re-election next year!

Guess your right with the "Be careful what you wish for" statement.

Tea Party Rallies To Send GOP Message On Spending

WASHINGTON -- The tea partyers who helped drive GOP gains in the last election are rallying in the city they love to hate Thursday, urging Republican House leaders – Speaker John Boehner above all – to resist the drive toward compromise in the protracted fight over the federal budget. Even, they say, if that means Congress fails to do its most important job: pay for the government.

And if Boehner opts instead to agree to a deal with President Barack Obama?

"You're going to see massive amounts of (GOP) primaries" in next year's election, said Mark Meckler of the Tea Party Patriots. If the Ohio Republican strikes a budget deal that doesn't cut spending enough, Meckler said Wednesday, "he is going to face a primary challenge."

Primary challenges, huh? Let's see what the Democrats, the Indpendents and a fair amount of the true small "c" conservatives have to say about that come Nov. 2012. The Koch Brothers, et al, may have a lot of money, but when you start attacking the working middle classes, you're in for a fight.
