I'll give Bush only the slightest little bit more credit for sometimes holding back when responding to some issues while in office.

A CNN.com story this weekend pointed out how Obama seemingly flip-flops on the issues in the Middle East. In the Lybia thread, there's allusion to it, which Claire pointing out in the Lybia case, Obama changed his stance once our civilians were out of harm's way.

Still, it does feel like maybe Obama can hold back just a few "moments" when dealing with other issues.

In some cases, maybe Bush got this right. However, he tremendously botched up some cases... Such as Katrina and the tsunami. Keeping quiet here, where there's no enemy, accomplished nothing except cause more suffering for those affected by the disasters.
