Thanks all.

On Kindle, it's available for $7.99 at: http://www.amazon.com/Under-God-A-No...5369100&sr=8-1

When it goes on sale on Amazon (and it's self-publish site, Createspace... Yes, self publish, but I'm hoping some of my friends in publishing can help me get a lead. It's the first of a series, and I have a bunch of other ideas I'm working on), it will be available for $12.99 (or $13.99. I forget :-\)

On Createspace, there will be a $1.50 discount code, that will be available on the book's Facebook group and page. I guess I can put that up here too.
very cool,

thanks for the info,

I'm enjoying it so far. It's not going to go down as one of the great literary achievements of all time, but it IS a pleasant read.

Dave, I think you've really captured your ideas about God (as I know them from your posts here) quite nicely, and done so without being offensive to most thinking individuals.

But, do tell, is the name Mickey a tip of the hat to Mr. Mantle?

What? Not a literary masterpiece?! I wouldn't expect it to be, of course. However, I am quite proud of it as a first endeavor.

No, Mickey came from a few places, including Mouse, but oddly enough, not the Mick.

As you should be!

I've had a couple of ideas floating around in my head for children's books (one for close to 20 years!), but never gotten around to writing them, so I'm truly impressed at what you've accomplished!

indeed,
I agree, anyone who has the drive to write then publish a book is a hero in my eyes,
I have always entertained the idea of writing a book myself, but did I ever do it??? Nope!

so kudos and congrats to you,
I hope it becomes a big seller

So, Pink, will this push you to actually get started on those children's books? Congrats, Dave.

It might. My biggest holdup (read: excuse) has been getting the first one illustrated, since I can barely draw a straight line with a ruler. Since my nephew married an artist last year, and she has already illustrated a children's book, I really don't have that one any more.

Dave, I'm enjoying some of the nice touches, such as the Smithsmonian curator.

Okay, I've fininshed Dave's masterpiece, and I found it to be just as he described: a lighthearted and humorous take on God and politics. I found the characters to be pretty realistic in their actions and reactions. One loose end wasn't resolved, but otherwise all the issues were wrapped up neatly.

Nicely done, Dave!

Now it's a masterpiece.

Thanks for the praise. I'm glad I was able to keep it from getting overly serious. When I started writing, it was too serious, too dark and too hard to write. Taking this approach made all the difference.
