Default Obama's job approval polls
Soon Richard Tafoya will be the only Obama worshipper left.

Don't expect to see many of these polls in the mainstream media anymore. As Dear Leader gets more and more unpopular they will begin to ignore these polls. They will only be reported on the "crawl" that you see at the bottom of the TV screen. Nobody reads those crawls anyway.

Zogby Interactive: Obama Falls to 39%, As Support from Democrats Continues to Slide; He Trails Romney, J. Bush & Gingrich in '12

Those Saying U.S. on Wrong Track Hits High Under Obama of 69%

UTICA, New York - President Barack Obama's job approval rating has dropped to the lowest point of his Presidency at 39%, and in potential match-ups with Republicans in 2012, he trails Mitt Romney, Jeb Bush and Newt Gingrich and is just one point ahead of Sarah Palin.

The percentage of likely voters saying the U.S. is on the wrong track is now the highest since Obama took office at 69%.

The President continues to lose the job approval of Democrats, going from 78% on Nov. 15 to 72% in this Nov. 19-22, 2010 interactive poll. His approval among independents stayed at 39%, and is 6% among Republicans.

Obama's approval is also falling among the First GlobalTM generation born since 1979. This age cohort was key to his victory in 2008, but just 42% now approve of his job performance. He continues to do better among women (44%) than men (33%.)

Here's one place to get a roundup of all the major approval polls: http://polltracker.talkingpointsmemo...approval-obama

Zogby is an outlier in this week's numbers. The numbers on their online polls like this one tend to be really volatile. Their phone polls tend to fall in line with general polling consensus.

The consensus trend among the major polls in shown below.

Barack Obama
Job Approval
45.8% Approve 49.2%Disapprove -3.4 Spread

Congressional
Generic Ballot
39.1% DEM 45.7% GOP +6.6 Spread R

Historically, Obama's approval rating is tracking slightly above recent presidents who won re-election. For the week of Nov 15-21, Gallup has Obama at 46% approval, compared to Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan, who were both polling 43% approval this far into their first term.

You hear a lot of mainstream media pundits spinning Obama's dismal approval numbers as "pretty good considering what he's had to deal with". No Republican ever gets that kind of spin from them. It took Bush six years to hit 40%. Dear Leader managed to do it in 22 months. But that's "pretty good" considering...

Gallup currently has Obama's approval at 46/46. Compared to recent presidents, both Bushes were higher at this point, with George Bush Jr. riding his post 9/11 wave (he was trending downward through his first months in office and had dipped to 51% the week before 9/11). But looking at other presidents, Obama is at higher approval ratings than Reagan and Clinton at this point in their first terms.

Here's the consensus among major pollsters, aggregated at TPM:

TPM Poll Averages

Barack Obama
Job Approval
45.6% Approve / 48.9% Disapprove -3.3 Spread

Congressional
Generic Ballot
38.7% DEM / 44.0%GOP +5.3

By the way. I'll be there with Richard in Obama worshipping.

Since Righty-Zogby isn't likely to poll Lefty homosexuals, I'm guessing they (and Rasmussen) will be the only poll to not show a boost in Obama numbers this week...
