Default Kyl: Reid Disrespecting Christians By Suggesting Post-Christmas Senate Votes
I guess all those after-Christmas sales are the height of the attack on Christmas.

TPM: http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2...es.php?ref=fpb

To Sen. Jon Kyl (R-AZ), Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's suggestion that the Senate come back the week after Christmas isn't just a way to complete a busy lame duck agenda -- but an attack on people of the Christian faith.

"It is impossible to do all of the things that the majority leader laid out," Kyl said today, "frankly, without disrespecting the institution and without disrespecting one of the two holiest of holidays for Christians and the families of all of the Senate, not just the senators themselves but all of the staff."

To be clear, Reid was suggesting the Senate come back for votes after Christmas and before this Congress ends on Jan. 4.

So, should I tell my private sector job they're disrespecting my religious beliefs by making me go back to work the week between Christmas and New Years?

Talk about grasping at straws.

Yep. Ski resorts, malls, restaurants, offices, grocery stores, all of them just dissing Baby Jesus by even turning on the lights from Christmas Eve onward. The nerve.

I worked in a law office where two of the three partners were Jewish, and they never took off the Jewish holidays. Well, I guess one of them did once when I was there. The other isn't a very good Jew, I guess, since he did lots of things he wasn't supposed to (like eat bacon! lol).
