He's taking a page out of his buddy Bill Clinton's book and pandering to The Right after getting "shellacked" by The Right in a midterm election. It worked for Bubba, so Comrade Obama figures he'll give it a shot. What does he have to lose? He knows he'll never get reelected if he continues the policies that led to the "shellacking" on November 2nd.

Obama isn't moving to the right. He's compromising, as in the change he was talking about when he ran. He's also doing damage control as the rest of the party is screwing about.
