Okay. No Sharron Angle, Christine O'Donnell. No Carl Paladino in NY. Let's see what happens with Joe Miller. We got Rand Paul and Marco Rubio, although Rubio has turned decidedly away from the uber rightwing tea party line of late.

They get 18 months. I expect overtures and gestures to the far right and then business as usual.

BTW in Wisconsin fantastic night for Conservatives. Johnson takes out Feingold in Senate. House delegation flips from 5-3 Dems to 5-3 GOP. A Conservative Republican politically (though not in personality) similar to Christie in New Jersey wins the Governorship, replacing a corrupt Dem. Additionally both chambers in the state legislature flipped from Dem to GOP control. And my favorite Dem Milwaukee County sheriff David Clarke wins big. Great friggin night here in Cheesehead land.

it's looking like write-ins in Alaska are out ahead of both Miller (R) and McAdams (D) in early returns.

Assuming most of those are for Murkowski, she may eke out a win, but the number of precincts reporting is still pretty small. A final tally after all the write-in challenges could be weeks or months away.

Excellent point. Now, hopefully, the GOP will get really cocky and shoot themselves in the foot come 2012....and I'm hoping the Dems will hold on to their seats in 2012 as well.
