Default O'Donnel cancels all media appearances after "I dabbled in witchcraft" tape surfaces
That was fast. Powerline has already thrown in the towel, with a post this afternoon titled "R.I.P. O'Donnell's career," based on this very same incident. It'll be interesting to see who stands by her and who distances themselves from her in coming days. I expect the standard Palin "Don't retreat, reload!" tweet any moment now.

On the heels of Bill Maher unveiling this tape from one of her 22 appearances on his 80's-90's show and vowing to reveal a new appearance tape per show until she agrees to appear again on his show as a political candidate (rather than as a casual guest, as she did in the past). She pulled the plug on a scheduled round of the Sunday talk shows, including Fox News.

There's noise on the right now that she wasn't properly vetted. I think we heard that two years ago with Palin as well. The problem here seems to be that in fishing for a fresh face who doesn't have the taint of "establishment politics" on them, which just means they don't have any experience in politics, the far right is assuming that ideological purity today on a couple of party planks somehow equals character and populist redemption, no matter what they said or did in years past.

We'll see how that works out, but my guess is that it'll work out about as well as Sarah Palin's political career--fine in a room full of true believers, but not so great in front of the general voting population.

This is what happens when you "vote out all incumbents." I can't think of a more stupid voting strategy. Maybe, "vote for anyone with blue eyes," or "vote for anyone whose sum of letters in name equals a prime number."

Frankly, I don't care if she dabbled in witchcraft, but I'd rather she had dabbled in reality once in a while.

What I "like" about this is what she describes as witchcraft is hardly anything a Wiccan would actually do. In other words, let's just tag another buzzword to something we don't believe in.
