Hmmmm...says Americans don't like Muslims very much. Wonder why???
http://www.time.com/time/nation/arti...011799,00.html Yet the survey also revealed that many Americans harbor lingering animosity toward Muslims. Twenty-eight percent of voters do not believe Muslims should be eligible to sit on the U.S. Supreme Court. Nearly one-third of the country thinks adherents of Islam should be barred from running for President — a slightly higher percentage than the 24% who mistakenly believe the current occupant of the Oval Office is himself a Muslim. In all, just 47% of respondents believe Obama is a Christian; 24% declined to respond to the question or said they were unsure, and 5% believe he is neither Christian nor Muslim. While the poll revealed that prejudice toward Muslims is widespread, respect for other religious traditions remains sturdy. Read more: http://www.time.com/time/nation/arti...#ixzz0x6XTYj3n |

What is up with this certain strain of Republicans? Judging by Regis, I'm guessing they don't get out much or actually listen to people who aren't just like them. I'll bet if you polled this group and asked what media they listened to, you'd get the same percentage listening to Rush, Glenn and those fools.
Oh well, as Forrest Gump so aptly put it, "Stupid is as stupid does." |

I'll bet if you polled this group and asked what media they listened to, you'd get the same percentage listening to Rush, Glenn and those fools. And for anyone not inside that shrinking enclave of scared, older white voters, the aftermath of these efforts is clear: Latino voters, who were never really a core part of the GOP base, are leaving the Republican party after being demonized; Muslim voters are leaving the Republican party after being demonized and the small number of black voters and politicians in the GOP are beginning to take issue with the rubber stamp that GOP leaders give to race-baiting stunts foisted by the likes of Andrew Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck. And I'd guess that plenty of those black GOP voters are about to leave as well, if they haven't already. |
