Default Gallup: 67% support more taxes on wealthy to boost Social Security
Gallup:
http://www.gallup.com/poll/141611/Am...ecurity.aspx#1

Of six possible ways to address concerns with the Social Security system in a recent USA Today/Gallup poll, a majority of Americans favor two, both of which would affect only wealthy Americans. Less than a majority favor proposals that would involve increasing taxes, reducing benefits, or increasing the eligibility age for larger segments of the general public.

Notice the question that wasn't asked? Making cuts in wasteful government programs and applying those savings to Social Security?

Come on, Paul. Can we at least be honest here? If that question were asked, the answer would be 100% yes and we both know it. We also both know that every adminstration has pledged to cut wasteful programs, go after fraud, etc. We also both know that all of that will only make a dent of what is the largest portion of the U.S. budget.
