Default Obama goes golfing...again
Remember how the Moonbats used to flip out every time Bush went golfing or down to Crawford, Texas? The Moonbat Messiah has done more golfing in 18 months than Bush did in 8 years.

Obama hits golf course

By Bridget Johnson - 07/11/10 01:22 PM ET

President Barack Obama spent Sunday on the golf course at Fort Belvoir, Va., according to White House pool reports.

The president was playing with regular links partner Marvin Nicholson and two others whose names weren't immediately known.

First lady Michelle Obama is set to visit the Gulf region Monday for the first time since the BP oil spill began. BP began a new containment procedure Saturday that the company's hopes will provide a tighter seal around the well leak, but in the meantime oil is flowing freely into the Gulf once again.

The first lady will visit Panama City, Fla., to get an update on the impact of the Deepwater Horizon spill and to speak to members of the local community.

Hey, I know! Let's compare how many hours of sleep each man got. How many times did each man go to the bathroom in a day? Number one or number two? And just how many times did Pres. Bush get his hair cut compared with Pres. Obama? 'Cause, you know, these things really matter. Oil spill? pfft. Wars? Meh. Terrorists killing Americans? Who cares. Hurricanes decimating cities? Whatev. Economy in the toilet? *yawn*

And just to throw some facts on the right-wing fever swamp that is Brad's hatred of Obama, via FactCheck.org:

Link: http://www.factcheck.org/2010/01/pre...vacation-days/

First year in office vacation days (not including trips to Camp David):
-- Bush Jr.: 69
-- Bush Sr.: 40
-- Reagan: 42
-- Obama: 26
-- Clinton: 21
-- Carter: 17

A Sunday trip across town to play golf for a few hours doesn't a vacation make.

Note that bit about Camp David, too. Weren't the Bushes and Reagan part of the priority club there?

Also, am I supposed to be concerned Michelle Obama hasn't been to the gulf yet? I guess I'm supposed to since it's in bold type.

Since it's so important Brad, can you tell my why it took Laura Bush almost 20 months to go to post-Katrina New Orleans? Three months for Michelle to get down there is darn quick if you're making that comparison.

Via FactCheck, Obama spent 27 days at Camp David during his first year in office.

Bush Jr. spent 78 days at Camp David in his first year.

So Obama: 53 days off essentially. Bush: 147. Almost 100 days more! Or, a quarter of the year more.

Michelle Obama to travel to Spain

Mon Jul 26, 2:15 pm ET

WASHINGTON (AFP) – US First Lady Michelle Obama will travel to Spain next week on a "private mother-daughter" trip, but President Barack Obama will not go along, the White House said on Monday.

Michelle Obama will also take up an invitation to make an official call on King Juan Carlos and Queen Sophia, the White House said.

The announcement came a day after Spanish media reports erroneously said the president himself would take his family for a holiday at the upscale southern Spanish resort city of Marbella.

The White House press release on Monday did not specify if Michelle Obama was taking both, or one, of her daughters, Malia and Sasha along, and gave neither a destination nor a venue for the "closed press" trip.

"The First Lady will travel to Spain next week for a private, mother-daughter trip with longtime family friends. President Obama will not be joining this trip," the White House said in a statement.

According to the Obama's official schedule, the First Family will visit the disaster hit Gulf Coast in Florida for a weekend in August and will spend 10 days in the upscale northeastern resort island of Martha's Vineyard.

Sweet. Michelle and daughter(s) plus friends will get 30 hotel rooms at a swanky hotel. This is so cool.

http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/n...ion-spain.html

Washington/Madrid - US First Lady Michelle Obama and one of her two daughters will take a summer break in Spain, a White House source said Monday.

Mother and daughter would come to the southern holiday resort of Marbella on a "private visit in the company of old friends," the source told the German Press Agency dpa.

US President Barack Obama will not accompany his wife, the source said.

Spanish media reports said Michelle Obama and her younger daughter Sasha, 9, would be on Spain's Costa del Sol between August 4 and 8.

There had been speculation that Barack Obama might also come to Spain to celebrate his 49th birthday on August 4.

Michelle Obama has reserved about 30 rooms for herself and her daughter, their friends and bodyguards at a five-star hotel in Benahavis near Marbella, hotel sources said.

Considering how skewed the numbers are where the presidents are concerned, I wonder how many times the Bush family went on vacation that were similar. Well, maybe not as many times, as the secret service was busier dealing with the Bush twins' binge drinking nights.

Really when does going to your own house count as Vacation? Bush went to his own house? This should be easy for even liberals to understand. This was not a vacation property it was his private and legal residence. It was the Western White House. Duh!

When I'm home, as a manager, I'm sometimes expected to work from home. For this Western White House notion, there were enough days where he just stayed out of site.
