This caught my attention, A few of my friends warned me about congress and our government attacking our rights before the election. I hate to say this but they may be right.
As CNN is now reporting, the U.S. government has issued a new rule that would make it a felony crime for any journalist, reporter, blogger or photographer to approach any oil cleanup operation, equipment or vessel in the Gulf of Mexico. Anyone caught is subject to arrest, a $40,000 fine and prosecution for a federal felony crime. Anderson Cooper spoke about it on CNN and here is the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXsmL...layer_embedded What happened to the transparency Obama talked about and promised us???? So why so much secrecy concerning this oil spill? I'm pretty upset about this. |

This only makes one to wonder about what has gone (or is about to go) terribly wrong out there that they dont want anyone to know about... yet. Or they could be worried about lawsuits resulting from people going out there without using proper hazmat gear too. With this information blackout the possibilities seem limitless and could become fertile territory for plenty of conspiracy theories to explode onto the web making any solid info even harder to sort out from the rubbish if this task is not already difficult enough.
But... this ruling does not prevent the use of balloons on southbound winds carrying cheap high-tech gear to monitor the situation remotely as there will be no actual people present at these forbidden locations. |
