http://www.nyu.edu/projects/ollman/d...nstitution.php Marxists always presuppose that government has preeminence over the individual when in fact the opposite is why America was envisioned in the first place. Ergo there cannot be a marxist interpretation of the Constitution -marxism and Constitutionalism are polar opposites. A generation ago this was common knowledge to all Americans. Nowadays you'd be hard pressed to find any kid who even knows what America is about or why it exists. |

WRONG. The Constitution is a guideline for relations between government and the individual. By dividing federal government powers to keep eachother in check. |

I used to say the same thing till I actually saw an ebook IRL. Not to belabor the issue, but an e book doesn't have a backlit screen like a laptop. The screen is a unique material that looks just like ink on paper-you can see it just fine outdoors, too... and you need a light to read it in low light just the same as a paper book. |

WRONG. The Constitution is a guideline for relations between government and the individual. By dividing federal government powers to keep eachother in check. You could have a "Marxist Constitution" drafted in some nation. So Marxism and Constitutionalism are not polar opposites. They're apples and oranges. You could say, of course, that Marxism and American Constitutionalism are polar opposites, and that's probably what you meant... |
