Default Withholding Taxes.

This week, on a 40 hour paycheck, the government took 17% of my earnings, plus about 7% more from my employer that I could have earned, right off the top. That's 24%

And I don't make a lot of money on a 40 hour week. I have to work a good bit of overtime to really jump up to the higher brackets.

And, this is before I pay the gas tax, the property tax, the sales tax.

and to think the rebels revolted over a 3% stamp act and a tea tax.

So even if we ignore all of the secondary taxes, the hidden taxes, the increased costs of goods, etc, my government, essentially, wants me to spend a quarter of my time working for no gain.

I could use that extra 25% in earnings to do a number of things, economically, or, absent the taxes, I could spend that time with my kids, or in some academic or leisure pursuit, and still have the same take-home earnings.

This is blatantly immoral. I am an honest, hard-working father and husband. I keep the peace. I am not wealthy, I have not embezzled anything from anyone. I do not wish to use government services. I only wish to be left to my own meager desires, and to the wealth I have created.

Not good enough. The way around the tax man is to rid ourselves of the taxes.

Tax here is 20% between the £8109 limit and about £35,000. Over that is 40% then 50%.

National insurance is either 10.6% or 12% over £600ish per month.

Not good enough. Refuse the idea that they have a right to charge us in the first place. Publicly.

No one has a claim on my life. And what I produce is at the expense of my life.

The claim is invalid. Inherently.

Sure, do that too. But stop paying them. Fuck 'em. Taxation is tyranny.
