I'll vote by short essay.
The hired police should be disbanded and return to an elected sheriff with paid deputies. The sheriff is accountable every election, the police are not. There should be no permits or licenses. It's just layers of control and revenue generation...CONTROL. A free people do not need permission. The volunteer fire departments work very well. Return to them. And where they are still being utilized, stick with them and support them. Summertime fireman's carnivals are a part of Americana. Schools should be local and by subscription. You pay for your children. Don't be looking for others to carry your weight. There should be no federal control of schools. And I don't trust even state control schemes. The highest level of bureaucracy should be on the county level. There's no reason why a good basic education can't be achieved by the 8th grade level, beyond that either choose higher education, a trade apprenticeship, or farming. Tax collection should be an elected position. Keep the tax collector accountable to the people. And there should only be local and state taxes. Let DC go begging, or make due with import duties. Parks and public services should be a local issue. Screw that peg-toothed retard Roosevelt, parks are not a needful thing. They are a want. The Constitution doesn't grant authority to confiscate from the people to fulfill a want. There, I'm done. btw...wtf is handling of transfer payments? When confronted with some new idea or scheme by DC ask yourself WWWJD. What Would Washington/Jefferson Do? We need to get back to our roots in matters of Liberty. |

Though I marked all, I really believe the privatization of education is a must. Get the unions out of it and inject competition. Stop giving the teachers time in grade raises and start paying them based on performance. If they are not performing fire them.
How much tax money goes to instruct the students, and how much to redecorate the superintendent's office? When I was living in Casa Grande, Arizona every so often there would be a letter to the editor of the local paper by a current or former teacher ripping the school administration a new asshole because of their diverting funds to decorating the administrative offices instead of to educate the students. |

I don't agree with privatizing local police forces. That should be community supported and community funded. Not sure about "all schools" either. I'm torn on that which is why I voted "yes" for the elementary & HS and didn't vote for "all schools".
I'm also not convinced on the state police one either. But the rest - yes. |

I'm for the privatizing of most public services. Many of the largest cities lease out their parks and park services to private companies and these are the cleanest, nicest parks in their entire city. Same with prisons. many states have privatized their prisons and they are the best ran prisons in their system. ![]() I would move to a place that was privatized in a heartbeat. |

I would profiteerize none of the above. The government has its role and business has its role. The services described are the role of government. Retail stores, cars, furniture, guns, movie theaters, bars, booze, and a bunch of other things I can't think of right now are the role of business. |

10 is the poll limit.. So let me know what you think about Child Services & Prisons/Corrections also. expunge the departments of ; urban planning and housing, agriculture, education and the EPA. then, triple the salaries to the military, reduce its personel by half, and impliment 75% tarrifs on all imports from countries who are taxing our stuff going into their ports. |

The gov't has managed to muck up every one of those services listed above. For-Profit Prisons Will Not Save Taxpayers Money Turning prison facilities over to for-profit companies will not save Florida taxpayers any money and will probably cost them more, said Teamster correctional officers, their families, their neighbors, and union officials who came to the Statehouse on Monday. Former Sen. Ron Silver, attorney for Teamsters Local 2011 in Tampa, testified against the privatization proposal at a hearing of the Senate Rules Committee. “This is yet another proposal based on empty promises of savings to the state,” Silver said. “The thousands of families and hundreds of local communities impacted by this proposal deserve better from their state officials. What recourse do they have after they lose their jobs and the promised savings are never realized? This is about real people, real families, and real communities facing irreparable harm.” Ken Wood, Acting President of Local 2011, said the rush to privatize correctional facilities has nothing to do with cost savings. ”After many conversations with our members and a great deal of research, I’m convinced that privatization is about political payback, not saving money,” said Wood. “This is just politics as usual.” [continued] Rest of article: http://www.toonaripost.com/2012/01/u...xpayers-money/ |

![]() http://youtu.be/_LBmUwi6mEo ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SOCIALISM SUCKS... THE BIGGER THE SCALE, THE MORE IT SUCKS. SOCIALISM CAN WORK.... ON A VERY SMALL SCALE, IN A SELECT GROUP OF PERSONS WHO ARE WILLING TO MAKE IT WORK.... SUCH AS A FAMILY. IT HAS NO PROPER ROLE BEYOND THAT... SAVE IN A SUBSCRIPTION COOPERATIVE. |

That's the huge myth we need to overcome. There's no "Myth" about it.. Public sector unions are bankrupting entire states.
They're why you can't fire a bad teacher or cop.. They're nothing but parasites who feed from the private sector. They should be eliminated and I tell you the truth, I'd give EVERYONE on that list at least a shot at 100% privatization.. Didn't Obama say something like: Union greed bleeds a world in need? |
