You clowns don't want less government, you want as much as the Democrats, only you want to impose your controls. Fuck that shit. Fuck all liberals.
Abortion is either flat out unconstitutional, and should be denied in every state in the union..

OR..

It's a State issue under the Tenth.

It was a stunt..

I would have voted in favor of banning it as a foot in the door... As this shouldn't be a federal issue anyway..

But it was a cheap, election year stunt.
Exactly. Bills can rarely be taken at face value, if ever.

All kinds of stupid shit follows a wave election like 2010..

It's bad enough normally.. But a scared politician is a ridiculous thing to behold.

It makes South Park look like ER.

You can't reason with neocon liberals.
Let me know when one pops up on this forum, we'll kick the shit out of him together.

So? Isn't part of politics getting people riled up and on your side?

I thought it was about solving problems.. And, frankly.. When it comes to the GOP and abortion?

I think they would rather have the issue than a resolution.

Which, in my mind anyway, thrusts this firmly into the "stunt" category.

They obviously didn't even want it to clear the house.

Then the conservatives like Paul, that see through the bullshit, get spun in the media as being pro-abortion. C'mon you neocons, use your brains for a change. It's a chess game - study it up a bit.

You've gone off the rails, son. You're missing the biggest of pictures. We're talking about unborn children being murdered. Why is that okay? We're not talking about fat illegal alien children missing a meal because mamacita didn't pack them a lunch. We're not talking about illiterate black kids having no place to play basketball at midnight. We're talking about murdered fucking unborn children. Is there really no line to be drawn? None? We can't even politicize that? Does "less government" really mean that murder is acceptable?

Then we've lost that battle if we can never bring it up because of the "optics." Fuck it, stab pregnant broads in the cunt because it doesn't matter any more. Kill the unborn with abandon because it's legal, fuck it all.

You don't even know why he voted against it. You're just willing to accept that he had a good reason and move on. The lack of critical thinking should shock me, but knowing the history of Ron Paul fans, it does not.

I'm as pro-life as people get.. I just wish I could say the same about the GOP.

The fact is:

If that's a developing person, with rights.. Then you're denying them due process and all sorts of other things by arbitrarily killing them.

If it isn't? Then it's a states issue under the Tenth..

Forcing abortion on demand down the throats of the entire country as a Constitutional "right" is absurd... But the GOP seem to just whip it out as a boogey man, wedge issue to shake at Christan conservatives every now and again..

I can't say they're serious about resolving this. I believe they would rather have the issue.

That's fine. Hit them for not doing enough. But to hit them when they do something just because you don't think it looks good? How does that help anything?

If that's a developing person, with rights.. Then you're denying them due process and all sorts of other things by arbitrarily killing them. If you truly fall into this camp, how can you (I'm not talking to you specifically, but anybody out there) tolerate any missed opportunity to make it harder to kill these developing people?

I get your point, and it saddens me that justified cynicism now gets in the way of something that should be a good move.

I realize you're not addressing me specifically.. But I would have voted in favor of the restriction.

For the reasons I stated above. According to the wording of the Constitution, the most "liberal" case that can be made is abortion is a State issue.

I would vote for any federal restriction as a result.. It should either be in the states, or disallowed completely.

I would kick it back to the states.

This would deprive them of a wedge issue also.. Because that's what it has become, and it sickens me.
