The Great TARP Cover-Up
Some folks want to pretend government intervention never happened. All this happened during what Frank calls “the golden years of libertarianism.” So I have difficulty understanding what he is talking about when he issues dicta such as “free-market theory has proven itself to be a philosophy of ruination and fraud.” http://reason.com/archives/2012/03/1...-tarp-cover-up Good article.. Suck it, libs. |

tarp: money well spent.
Citigroup, which took the most government aid of any U.S. bank during the financial crisis, has lost 86 percent of its value in the past four years, twice as much as the 24-company KBW Bank Index. (BKX) Most shareholders voted this week against the bank’s compensation plan, which awarded Pandit about $15 million in total pay for 2011, when the shares fell 44 percent. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-0...or-crisis.html |
