Look at it this way. Imagine you're a young black kid walking down the street one rainy night. All of a sudden, you notice a car following you. It stops. Out steps a shaved headed guy (who you could mistake for being white, given the conditions). He starts following you on foot. Now how would you react? With trepidation, or with casual indifference?
