The feminists are happy. Everyone should go on disability, food stamps and any other type of entitlements you can possibly get ... Uh, that's going to happen.. It's a very likely outcome. Imagine doing the math on a college education and a career which will effectively makes you the funding mechanism for all of this, VS a lower paying, non-college job and benefits? |

I suspect a number of Republicans secretly support this.. It was a "conservative" idea from the onset.. It has been implemented by a Republican Governor.. |

Those of us who are old enough, remember republicans demanding a public mandate when Clinton floated an employer mandate I support de-linking insurance from employment (The links were only made because the tax structure and reasonable costs of healthcare made it attractive) but I don't support it like this.. This is a nightmare in the making. |

Yeah.. I remember. That's why I suspect they are quietly applauding this. |

As I understand it, it was industry that brought it into the mix because it was more cost effective to offer insurance than monitory raises in collective bargaining. I never liked tying employment to healthcare anyway.. I mean, who needs their fucking healthcare more than someone who is between jobs? And they're TRIED to patch this before.. COBRA, anyone? I can't afford that shit.. It's unbelievably expensive.. Which is the same problem with Medicare.. and the same problem that is going to consume this plan too.. |
