Free birth control? Never seen that. Where do i sign up? I pay $2200 a year for my HCI, and a $30 co pay for my Depro, plus a $20 co pay for follow up visits 4 times a year. So i pay $2640 a year and I have insurance. Free?

I pay for my insurance also. Should I make a federal case out of it and demand insurance pay for my upcoming vasectomy? Not at all...and neither should she.

It'll pay for your Viagra though and for some obese person's gastric bypass surgery. What do you have against birth control for women?

I know at one time you could get birth control for free. At least it was for women.

This whole issue is so weird and goofy that I would have continued to ignore it, but since it keeps going, I looked at the testimony. And I didn't see anything about taxpayers subsidizing contraceptives. What I saw was the defense of a federal mandate that insurers include contraceptives in their plans. Plans that people like Ms. Fluke are paying for.

I don't know what to think about this mess...

My wife used to get it for free from Planned Parenthood, when we were teenagers.

I certainly appreciated that, back then...

Keeping my hand over my mouth so I don't say anything to jinx you in light of your upcoming procedure.

Vasectomy costs are usually affordable and often covered under health insurance plans.

Are free clinics a thing of the past? A free clinic paid with donations not the government? I know that at one time teens wouldn't use their parents insurance so they would use the free clinics. No government just donations. I know it's different now.

Why should the cost of her sexual habits be spread into the cost of the rest of the insured?

True, but in the end no babies but it could save a lot more in the end.

re-read my post...I dont think vasectomies should be paid for by insurers. The fact that she thinks women should get it for free from their insurers and I shouldnt is blatent discrimination against men. Leave it to a feminist like Flutecake to promote discrimination against men. When it comes to what I have done to Mr. Naughty, its on me. Thats my bill, my responsibility and nobody elses.

I think I missed the part where she says that men shouldn't be covered for vasectomies and women should be covered for birth control instead. Can you point me toward a link or a quote?
