Default I can't stand how politically correct our country has become.
There was a time in America where we weren't too worried about doing or saying something that might offend others. Our country was more liberated and we were proud to live in it. Unfortunately, in recent years, liberalism has reared its ugly head and started criticizing anyone for saying something that they thought might be offensive to certain people, wanting everything to be equal for everyone and supporting the rights of people who really don't deserve them. We have let our country trade the common sense we once had for bullshit "equality" and "fairness". As a result, everything a person says or does can be taken out of context and be regulated or made illegal. Policemen can't fire their guns without people crying foul, saying they are wrong for killing someone who has clearly disobeyed the law and the orders of our men in uniform. Lighthearted jokes about different racial stereotypes are criticized to no end and they demand lengthy apologizes from everyone involved. Our government is making kids wear certain clothes and eating certain foods at school, and sometimes they try to monitor their behavior in their own homes. Fables and other stories that tell morals are being rewritten in order to make everything "safe" and "kid-friendly", essentially removing the aim and moral of said stories. People can be accused of sexual harassment, simply by merely commenting on someone's looks. Kids are being expelled and put in juvenile detention for the most minor infractions. We have even gotten to the point where drug users and addicts are acknowledged as worthy citizens who deserve the right to destroy their lives, and corrupt the minds and safety of others. No matter what someone does or says, our government and the libtards they are in bed with are keeping track of you, and disabling your freedoms in order to make things more fair for others. This is fucking disgusting. And if Obama gets another four years in office, the American way of life will be completely done for.

I hate to break the news to you but no matter what party wins we are done for. There is no differenct between the two parties, in name only or rino however you want to put it. Neither give a rats ass about anybody, our republic, freedoms, or the constitution, only their control of our lives and their salaries.

Since when is calling an altitude challenged, weight challenged, color challenged person a short fat nigger a crime? When did we forfeit our right to freedom of speech?

No President or politician can change your way of life unless you allow them to. I don't live an American way of life, I live my way of life, and no political climate can ever change that. I live my life for no one else, nor do I live it for a culture that may or may not actually exist. Conservatives call them bums under a bridge, Liberals call them homeless people networking, we Libertarians call them none of our business.

Actually, living your own life IS the American way of life. It means the government does not interfere with your business as long as you abide by the Constitution. The way things are now, though, you can get in trouble for exercising certain rights if liberals deem them "unsafe" or "unfair". Guns, for example.

Its the expected result of liberalism and progressiveism. It has happened before. We have just been too stupid or too ambivalent to do anything about it.

It's not just Liberals, it's the conservatives as well. The Libs want to control my speech, smell and taste, the cons want to control my sight, feel, and hearing. The Libs tell me terminating a pregnancy is the essence of my freedom, the Cons tell me carrying and concealing a hand gun is the essence of my freedom. They are both wrong. I can choose to do both , one or the other, or neither. I define my freedom, not a political ideology and not "America". I get in trouble from both sides when I say this, but there is no American way of life. I have more in common with someone from a Canadian maritime Provence then I do with someone from say Texas

the america set up by the constitution is closer to conservatism than liberalism. and yes, there are shades of grey, nothing is black and white.

what we have lost in the US is our culture, our values, our traditions-------and why have we lost them? the influence of liberal progressive thought---that is the enemy of the US, not either party.

lol

How curious then, that you oppose just this with a maniacal zeal. You're the anti-American tyrannist, who wants American citizens murdered by the government, for smoking marijuana. Your opinion is for shit.

That is the farthest thing from the truth.

What is deemed "offensive" has changed. That's what you're referring to.

We act like there used to be all this freedom, and now liberals are trying to take it all away. When in reality freedom has always been compromised, the only changes being in the specifics of what is outlawed. We use to outlaw sodomy, now we outlaw "hate crimes". We used to enforce segregation, now we outlaw discrimination. Two sides of the same coin.

As an example, my state of Pennsylvania originally had blue laws that forbade work or toil on Sundays. It was literally against the law to work, on your own property, on a Sunday. We still haven't gotten rid of all of it. There's a battle to allow Sunday hunting in the state right now. A couple years ago there was a battle to allow selling alcohol on Sundays.

The STATE is essentially unchanged. The difference is in the culture.

And I agree with you, in that I prefer the old-fashioned culture. I am a big fan of traditional White European Christian sensibilities.

Thanks to liberals allowing it and letting them get away with it. It's amazing, isn't it? Liberals want to keep people from eating junk food or owning guns, but when it comes to drugs, it's all help yourself. Ridiculous.

The reason we have so many drug users is that not all industries test for drugs. The restaurant industry is especially notorious for not testing. Europeans have a different attitude about drugs... they are practically libertarian in that space.
