Obama is using the Bible to justify the rich paying more in taxes: "From those to whom much is given much will be required"
I do not believe Jesus was talking about material goods. Why is Obama Christ stopping there? Why not use the phrase, "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's" all of this nation's money (with a few exceptions) has pictures of Presidents on it. Shouldn't we be sending all of our money to the Federal government (Caesar)? I wonder when the Federal government is going to read the Commandment about not coveting that which is thy neighbors and abolish taxes. Note to Obama: My understanding is that Kansas coal burner was not a virgin but had seen more dick than a urinal at Yankee stadium. |

So it is ok for some to use the Bible. Just not Obama. Got it. By the way the Bible also talks about loving thy neighbor as thyself. Obama has ignored that by engaging in class warfare. |

Read the Bible. Jesus was not talking about giving material possessions to the government. He was not talking about the government confiscating wealth to pay off political contributions. He was talking about people voluntarily helping those less fortunate. Nothing in Obama's plan is voluntary. |

Your objection is that the quote is misused? Or that he is quoting the Bible? Incidentally where is the A.C.L.U.? Shouldn't they be objecting to the Government (Obama) forcing religion on others? Or do they only get their panties in a bunch about high school students wanting to say a prayer at graduation? |
