Every so often, some issue, or idea, or figure comes around, and you can go a long way in gauging the quality of a person in their reaction to that figure, that issue, that idea.
Ron Paul is one of these dividers. By and large, there is an evident demarcation being made here... |

He supported Cynthia McKinney and doesn't want to outright end SS and Medicare. He's chaff. Who's funding ? Most of the same people that funded Obama? Has or Gingrich or Santorum made the arch points that Paul has made about this nation, or have they said all the right things, excepting Santorum. He wants the Spanish Inquisition. |

Zach, you don't get to question me. Ever. You support a guy who endorsed Cynthia McKinney. Have some shame, man. Who's funding ? Lot's of people. Probably not the white supremacists that are funding Paul. The guy is doing pretty well picking up money from local and state parties. He's effective that way. Are you going to go on an impotent screed about money in politics being a corrupting influence? He endorsed Baldwin, not McKinney, and I'll question you whenever the fuck I want to. Next?! |

Well, actually, yes, money has corrupted the democratic process, but nevermind that...as you would have it. |

More of the same what? Obama? Hardly. Will he be perfect? Doubtful. I'm not looking for perfect. I just want to change course from the shitfest we are experiencing now. It's going to take a Republican getting elected to turn the economy around. If/when it happens, the uncertainty we are dealing with now vanishes instantly, and things will take off like a rocket. People/businesses have cash, and they've been paying down debts. With Obama they don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, so they can't make decisions today. When they know that they won't be fucked by some arbitrary regulation or tax, they will be willing to put their money in play. , Paul, Gingrich, Santorum - any of them will do. Paul is a non-starter who can't win and should never be allowed within 500 feet of the Whitehouse. Gingrich is a degenerate and Santorum is a big-government social-con. is at least an effective executive. If he pulls some shit that he shouldn't be pulling, I'll be right there with you calling for his head. I'll be ready to primary him in 4 years. But let's quit fooling ourselves. can win it. Paul hasn't a shot. Obama is a disaster. Breaking off and voting for Paul out of frustration in the general means 4 more years for Obama. Do you want that hanging around your neck? If by some miracle I still have a choice by the time my state votes in the primary I am going to vote for Paul. |

I have repeatedly stated on here that I'm going to hold my nose and vote for if he ends up being the Republican candidate. @ bold: He's not quitting. He doesn't care about the nomination. He wants to affect the GOP. |
