Default Presidential candidates and the economy
Persons running for president claim to know how to fix the economy, yet those at the bottom of the polls keep spending money on campaigns they have to know will fail. Thus wasting money. In my opinion this does not speak well for their ability to get this nation out of debt.

Take as an example Ron Paul. The person knows he does not have a chance yet every four years he shells out his money and that of his supporters to stage a campaign.

True others have made more than one attempt to become president and have succeeded on the second or third attempt, but did the economy improve during their time in office. I believe two of these persons were Nixon and Reagan, I am sure there are others.

Campaign money is donated from private citizens. If they don't see it as a waste of their money, then it is no waste of money. They are free to light $100 bills on fire if they so wish.

Wasted money is taxpayer dollars stolen from citizens at gunpoint or borrowed on behalf of their children and then thrown into worthless programs without the consent of the governed.

So these very people that claim to want to help the people have no trouble taking money they know will go to waste from the people. Doesn't speak well for their ethics.

It doesn't speak of their ethics at all. If people don't think the candidates lagging behind are worth spending money on, then they'll stop donating.

If Gingrich, Perry, and Huntsman don't have decent showings in NH, then you'll see their funds dry up. That's how it works.
