Default Bachman out Perry possibly out - who benefits?
Bachman just dropped out and Perry is thinking about the future of his campaign. According to the media that others in the field are getting the anti- vote. Assuming they are right and that the showing in Iowa is a true reflection of the public that means there are now 15% of the voting public that will be divided among the other candidates. Who will benefit, Santorum (no doubt his funding will increase), Gingrich (if the votes go to Newt it could put him in third going into New Hampshire), Ron Paul (could put him strongly in first), the last place candidate (his name escapes me) only received 1% of Iowa so unless his daughters start releasing porn videos instead of music videos he will not get the funding to continue.

Perry and Bachman supporters will probably go to Newt eventually.. Possibly swinging past the Santorum booth on the way.

The logic: If you still support Bachman or Perry at this point in the game, it is because you see problems with Mitt.. It's because you don't trust him.

imo.

I have no idea what a nobody like Santorum is peaking while Perry tanks..

If you'd vote for Rick S, then you should easily support Rick P.. He's a much better candidate, and he doesn't have Santorum's baggage.

Perhaps it's voter unfamiliarity?

As a rule New Hampshire voters do not like the voters of Iowa "suggesting" who the candidate should be. Based on that history will probably not win in New Hampshire. Reports have Perry currently still interested in competing in South Carolina, ignoring New Hampshire will further decrease his viability and hamper his fund raising.

I am thinking New Hampshire may end up Santorum, Gingrich, , Paul. O.K. it may be wishful thinking.

Both are false 'tea party' neocons who say one thing and do another.
So their votes won't go to Ron Paul.
If it will help anyone to discern the trend, Evangelicals won't vote for a Mormon.

They also believe the sweet baby Jesus will come back and "Rapture" them away during a world-wide conflagration centered in the ME called Armageddon.
The Evangelical's favorite exclamation is, "Even so. LORD Jesus, come!"
They pray for the destruction of the world.
Rick Santorum is a saber-rattler.
These guys are just as nutty as the Twelvers.

Ask yourself this: Which candidate will actually shrink the size of government?
A Progressive will fight any attempt to rein-in government.

The polls failed to indicate the trend in Iowa. (which has me suspicious)
Why should we even consider polls anymore?
They have proven themselves inaccurate.

There were a few that did show Santorum rising, but I think it was so quick the rolling averages didn't jump..
