So far as corporations go, Mossfern.. You said your husband is a retailer.
Say he retails something that was misused, and resulted in a death or injury.. and he was sued. (Because attorneys sue anyone and everyone involved.. looking for money) And let's say a sympathetic jury ruled against him. (Because this happens..) Now, he cal lose his small corporation.. and all the business assets. But, without the corporate veil, you could lose your assets too. Your house. Everything you have or will ever have. It's possible.. Perhaps not likely, but it could certainly happen. Now imagine if he did a more dangerous sort of work.. Like construction, for example. Or manufacturing.. The liability goes up and up. There's insurance, that is true.. But, as we are constantly reminded, liability is a bottomless pit. The more personal risk he is placed at through no fault of his own, the more he will have to charge his customers. The more of a disadvantage he will be in against larger businesses. |

"And (BERNIE'S SHIT) won't help.. As there's infinite ways to compensate a crony.. You don't have to write them a check and call it a campaign donation.
What really needs to happen is to suck the power out of DC and send it back to the states where it belongs.. Then nobody will send them a dime..." AMEN TO THAT. BERNIE IS WORKING TO EXPAND THE TYRANNY AND FACILITATE GRAFT.... ALL WITH THE NOBLE-EST OF INTENTIONS, OF COURSE.... ALL IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THE SACRED SOCIALIST PRECEPT THAT THE PERSON WHO EARNS THE MONEY SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED TO BENEFIT FROM IT. |

It doesn't matter which side of the aisle you're on. You know this is true. Trying to stop 'corp's'.........I hear it all the time. Yet big unions are meddling much more than generic corporations. Trying to ban/blame corporations, is just a means to allow more free reign to unions, and federal labor groups. Nothing more. |

Here it is, let's discuss the specifics and not rely on rhetoric. Hoff, corporations are set up to limit personal liability in the first place - am I wrong?

THE CONGRESS WANTS TO FORCE YOU TO PAY FOR THEIR CAMPAIGNS.
...AND THEY WANT TO REGULATE WHO CAN OBTAIN CAMPAIGN FINANCING ...AND WHO THEY CAN OBTAIN IT FROM. POLITICIANS LOVE THE EFFECT MONEY HAS ON POLITICS. THEY WORRY ABOUT CONTRARY OPINION, THOUGH. CONTROLLING THE MONEY IS AN EFFECTIVE WAY TO CONTROL OPPOSING OPINION. |
