Perfectly showcases why we're broke and the world hates us..

Is there ANYONE, ANYWHERE we aren't going to: Bomb, Drone Bomb, Sanction, Pay off, Over throw in a coup, Nation build, Take their products off the world market, Blow up their gas refineries, Democratize, etc.. etc.

What in the fuck was that? All I saw there was an Empire out of control and out of ideas. I saw a bunch of children vying for the highest office on the planet, screaming at the world for not behaving as they are expected to behave.. By DC, of course.. Because we somehow have not only the right to expect such things, but the unlimited money and power to punish anyone who refuses to comply.

If anyone ever asked themselves: "Ya know, I wonder why we're always in such imminent peril.. As opposed to other countries?" that answered it.

We're under the constant threat of "terrorism" because we won't stop meddling where we have no business doing so. We're no longer the indispensable nation.. We're merely an empire in decline. A nation that became so rich and drunk with power that we stuck our nose everywhere... I don't blame anyone for hating us, and if you wonder why Russia and China have made such inroads without firing a single shot, they showcased the difference between perfectly last night.

Our candidates plainly stated a deep seated hatred for the Constitution and basic liberty. They'd rather live in a police state, and would be thrilled to force you to live in one also. We had candidates who would be thrilled to drop bombs if they saw a "good plan" to do so.. Candidates who couldn't care less about oil prices, because no price is too high for the Empire! It just went on and on..

I'm ashamed at what I saw last night.. Frankly, nobody on that stage deserves to be let within a hundred feet of the Oval Office on their own merit. The best argument that can be made for any of them is that the democrats suck worse.

Interestingly, some of the most harsh responses were centered around mitigating the blow-back of years gone by.. Iran is a good example of this. Who was responsible for the Iranian Revolution again? Ask yourself why Pakistan is teetering on the brink? Oh, yeah.. That's right! We demanded so much of the Musharraf puppet leadership that we broke him and he was removed from power.

And these guys want to balance the budget? Are you kidding? We had candidates up there defending African dick washing subsidies as, OMG!!!! THE ONLY THING BETWEEN US AND CHAOS IN AFRIKA!!!!! ISLAM!!! OMG!!!!! Meanwhile, the Chinese happily extract the mineral wealth of Africa.. just like they are doing everywhere else. No blue water navy... No threats of missile strikes. Just mutually beneficial exchange and some common sense.

PS: I'd REALLY like to see the look on Rick Santorum's face when we begin profiling Catholics and harassing them at the airport. Wouldn't that be a hoot?
